I loved this post. Very inspiring. It reminds me of my Acupuncture Clinic teacher, Kaylah Sterling. She is 57 years old and looks like a 20-something. I interviewed her yesterday to find out how she stayed so healthy and happy. One of the first things she said was “I love my jobs. Love, love love my jobs!” She works as an acupuncturist at the Jewish Home for the Aged and as an instructor at ACTCM, the acupuncture school that I go to.

Life is too short to feel that what you’re doing doesn’t matter. The drive to make our mark is such a huge part of human nature. Brilliant post by Tim. It’s certainly far easier to enjoy and do well at ‘things things that matter’. It’s such a pity that so many corporations do not consider that to get the most out of employees, the employees must feel that what they do is contributing and ‘matters’.

For me the “best part” is not much about working on stuff that matters, but on stuff that create more value that I can capture. No matter how strong can be, he won’t be able to have an army fighting with him if he’s not creating value for them!

I like what Tim says about things that mean more than money. Sadly, what I *like* to work on gets me little or no money. 🙁
